Louise Riley-Smith has
specialised in portrait painting for over twenty years. Her commissions
include members of the diplomatic and civil services, clergy, lawyers, senior
academics, decorated military personnel, businessmen, landowners and their
wives and children.
Her portraits can be seen in Cambridge, in Emmanuel, Jesus,
Corpus Christi, Trinity and Robinson Colleges; in Egham, in Royal
Holloway, London University; in Oxford
at Pusey House and in many private homes.
Her work has been exhibited by the Royal Society of Portrait Painters;
Leonard
McComb selected work for the Kettles Yard Open, Cambridge.
A successful solo exhibition was held in Pembroke College Cambridge.
Her portrait of Elaine Page was short-listed for the Garrick/Milne Prize for
a Theatrical Portrait.
Work has also been selected for The Discerning Eye, and short-listed by the Royal
Society of Oil Painters.
